The Venue FM’23 will take place at the University of Lübeck from March 6th to 10th 2023 in Lübeck, Germany.
Lübeck
The „Nordic beauty“ Lübeck is a city located in Northern Germany in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region and, with around 217,000 inhabitants, it is the second-largest city on the German Baltic Coast. Lübeck is famous for its remarkable Old Town Island, which is Germany’s most extensive UNESCO World Heritage Site with numerous historical red brickwork monuments and buildings.
University of Lübeck
The University of Lübeck is a top-ranked university with more than 5.000 students and employing around 2,500 people. It has a research and teaching focus on life sciences, especially medicine and informatics. As the conference time is after the teaching period, we can make use of the modern facilities in the Audimax building, situated centrally in the university campus, which can be easily reached from Lübeck’s historic district.
Spaces
The Audimax provides state-of-the-art auditoriums and meeting rooms of different capacities. The spacious foyer is a perfect location for coffee breaks, receptions and exhibitions. The main auditorium (AM 1) has a capacity of over 450 participants and is equipped with state of the art sound, light and media technology.
Accommodations
As Lübeck is a popular travel destination, there are many hotels of all price classes. Most of them are located in the beautiful old town (downtown) of Lübeck, which is approx. 15 min by bus from the campus, and downtown is the preferable place to stay. Nevertheless, there are some options also close to the campus. Moreover, Lübeck offers a great variety of (shared) apartments located in downtown which can also be booked via Booking.com or AirBnB.
